This is an original Katrina cottage which was named after the 2005 hurricane and were designed to fulfill the needs of residents while providing them with more permanent housing. They were built to withstand hurricanes.... It feels like a well built home. Our cottage was moved by crane onto our lot in 2016, after which we started renovations with the assistance of architectural firm, Ron Reid Associates, located in Kansas City. This Katrina Cottage has been totally customized to meet all your expectations.i
Knot in Kansas Cottage is located on a quiet, secluded dead end street in Inlet Beach. We boarder the west side of Camp Helen State Park. "Our location will put you in the easternmost 30A community and the least developed- yet you are near all the action on 30A". This is a hidden gem. You will only be 800ft from the nearest walkover to the beach where you can experience saltwater activities and freshwater activities on Lake Powell. Where else can you go and have a lake and beach experience at the same time? As you cruise the area you'll see "beach cottages mixed with modern homes in this old-meets-new beach neighborhood."

As you enter the cottage you will be greeted by a cozy living area and a 55-inch flat screen TV which opens up to the custom kitchen. The kitchen is stocked for a chef. From the pot filler to the knives, it will make you feel like you are in a dream kitchen. There was nothing forgotten when this kitchen was designed.
There are french doors inviting you out onto the expansive covered deck. The concrete dining table offers you another area to enjoy a meal or morning coffee. The lounge furniture is fresh and pleasing to the eye. Put your feet up, watch some TV or sit by the fire. Either way, your worries will melt away.
As you enter the hallway you will notice a fun bunkroom that kids or adults would enjoy. The closet is stocked with board games and outdoor sports equipment. It also has its own TV. Since 1989 we have been vacationing up and down the scenic 30A Highway. Till we finally found a place to call home, Inlet Beach. This quiet hidden gem that sits at the end of 30A is a cross between that old beach vibe and new. We hope that you come and explore the area and fall in love with it as we did. We have stayed in many vacation rental homes over the years and have made our cottage fulfill everything on our wish list.
